A review of chemotherapy

Well, I wouldn't recommend it but it wasn't too bad and I suppose it did save my life. Three stars.

Truly I thought it would be worse than it actually was. I was lucky I suppose (weird thing to say when you've been diagnosed with cancer). There are many who do not cope so well with the treatment. It causes fatigue, nausea, diarrhoea, and even headaches of which I had none. Worse thing was the mucositis which seriously did suck. I really liked my nurses and (I hope) they liked me, my doctors too. In fact I impressed my doctors with how well I did. They were amazed when despite having low haemoglobin levels, which should have made me very tired, I was still using my exercise bike each morning. They were very surprised when I suffered no side effects.

However, it was a struggle emotionally. There were times when I would curl up in my bed and cry because it was all too much. Sometimes you have to have a good cry it's very good for you. Now that everyone is essentially in lockdown like I was you would think I would have some advice. Nope. The only thing I can say is what everyone else is saying; find something to do. Create. Artwork, writing, music, it doesn't matter and it doesn't have to be amazing. Make something that makes this world a bit more interesting.
